Memory serves it should be lower. There is a recommended size for the Internet, and I don't recall what it is or where I got the information.

I know it was vital when playing games online, and working with the MTU. I have seen problems a previous work environment. Something tells me it was in 19K bytes, down from 46K, but I'm not sure.
