We decided the same thing, but for reasons unrelated to your reasons. For example, we bought 4 copies of XP - Home & Pro. We upgraded 4 computers that were running fine with Win98. All had problems over a period of months that required reinstalling. When we called Microsoft for 'the code' we were refused. They said we had to buy a new copy. We just put Win98 back on the computers and they continue to run ok. Microsoft sales are inflated because of the people who had to buy multiple copies for one computer because of the rip-off policies - all under the guise of preventing illegal copying. We can't wait for Linux to get a good user interface.
>My boss and I have decided to throw out our Windows XP operating systems and buy Windows 2000 Professional. This is just way too much trouble.
