Hi John,
There are many ways to set up a VFN, many companies offer hardware solutions, and two or three companies offer software only solutions. Here is a link to FAQ about VFN.
http://www.corecom.com/external/vpn/vpnfaq.htmOne way to be linked into two networks at the same time is to have two network cards in a single PC. Under Windows NT, 2000, XP, Linux, Unix, etc, each card can have its own IP Address, subnet Mask, and gateway using TCP/IP. This is an easy way to be connected into a company network, and still maintain your autonomy within a workgroup network or home network complete with always on internet access.
What kink of VFN do you have? What kind of equipment does it use. Does it have any documentation concerning your question. Can you ask the guys at the company how this might be done. One of the major reason a company may use a vpn is strong security. Is what your trying to do allowed by your company? I feel there is probably a better solution than the one I offered, and there may be numerous way to accomplish the same thing with one solution being the preferred method based on your needs.
