will switch dataengine to VFP7. However all changes and bug fixes has been and will be applied to VFP8 dataengine only. So it's better to stick with VFP8 mode, if possible.

OK! We've got somthing similar to sp_setcompatible in SQL Server. I have a number of situations that have tried and tested SQL queries where I'll have to set the dataengine to 70. NBD! Just about 2 lines of code (to set and restore the compatibility mode). Thanks.
