>Going today to update some of the windows components from the Microsoft Windows Update site. Microsoft .NET Framework was one of the items listed. I checked it to be installed as well. The text under is:

>"The .NET Framework is a new feature of Windows. Applications built using the .NET Framework are more reliable and secure."

>What would make a .NET Framework application be more reliable than a VFP application? And, what would make it more secure? At first, this is based on a set of minimum requirements. Without those requirements, also, how could such an affirmation be made?
For the same reason that so many people here want to have VFP renamed to have ".NET" in its name... it's ONLY marketing.
You remember how Win2K was soooo GREAT... until WinXP was delivered, when suddenly Win2K has lots of problems.
