My problem arises with VFP Transactions through ODBC. Do they work ...

I understand that ADO 2.7 (ADO.net?) uses the System.Data.SQLClient to access the server, the point being that the connection string doesn't specify a driver or a provider because it connects using tabular data stream (TDS).

What I'm not sure of is if this takes ODBC out of the picture or not. My hunch is it does, so the upshot of all this is that it may be possible to do transactions with distributed data between VFP and SQL Server if the connection is made via ADO 2.7.
