Mike,
Sorry for your problems. You need the VFP8 runtime or VFP8 Beta before you start the setup. Many people have downloaded and installed AVFP with zero problems. Once it is installed, creating a demo should be a breeze with the WebAppBuilder.
I compiled everything with VFP 8, at least partially, to promote the use of VFP 8. However, you can recompile everything in VFP 6 SP5 or VFP 7 SP1 - all of the source code is included.
One solution (from me) would be to just include the VFP 8 runtime with the install, but, I thought I would give the option to minimize download time.
Even though this is a totally free product, it should exceed or at least equal similar 3rd party products out there in most respects including setup.
If you're continuing to have problems, let me know the particulars of your setup: OS, error messages, etc...

Among the errors during the installation are notices that various files (DLL's?) failed to register, and that it cannot locate the Visual Foxpro support files. I can post the exact messages, but because this seems like such a big problem, I would imagine that these are well-known problems. We did download the VFP8 (why is this built using beta code??) support files but that makes no difference (regardless of where they're placed -- the directed indicated in the ZIP, the \windows\system, the dir where the install starts). My boss installed the complete FoxPro 8 beta and was able to get it to install, so I had my guy do the same, but even past the install, there are problems just building a demo project apparently. I am not going to install the VFP8 beta, since I don't want to risk incompatibility problems (replacing VFP6/7 files) with
