Hi Dan,
I looked at the Visioneer web site and it says that the PaperPort software must be installed and the scanner working before installing the latest TWAIN driver. This may mean that the TWAIN driver is not installed by default which would explain your problems.

>I'm going to try to uninstall/reinstall the scanner and drivers, etc. the scanner is a Visioneer Strobe Pro sheet-fed and came with PaperPort software. I can scan using the software that came with it and the scanner will autostart a scan upon detection of an inserted page.
