I just tested again by adding a table, runing meta update, and doing my make command. This time when I ran the update on my test machine it worked. I would assume from this that something must have failed in my make routine. In any case, I will continue to moniter the situation, but for now all seems well. Thank you for your prompt response.
A problem is a problem only as long as it has a possible solution. Lacking that, it becomes a FACT!
