I can't reproduce it anymore. Tried everything I did before, but no luck. In the meantime I think that it could have been my wireless keyboard which might have had a problem. But what remains suspicious is, that the problem existed over several minutes. Usually if the keyboard fails it's only for a moment. No, this wouldn't make any sense since Ctrl+End worked when the windows were not docked or docked in a different way ... I'll keep on trying some more times to see if it occurs again while working.
