This question has to do with a post I just put in the MS Office - Word category.

Ocasionally we see that users who have closed Word do NOT have have it up as an application running, but they will still have WINWORD.EXE show up as a process if we look under task manager. We have to kill that process before opening Word again.

Idealy we would like to be always assured that when Word is closed, it is completely closed. Until we figure this out(that is if we ever do), I'd like to come up with a program that we could run that would end that process for us. I'd like something as simple for my users as having an icon on the screen that they could run when they have problems.

I have no idea what this code would look like. Maybe it could even be a dos command in a batch file. We're running Office 2000 on a Windows 2000 PC. TIA
