Right. Now did you refer to the thread cited, and read it all (it's not that long). If you did, didyou see anywhere where the reporter said that they disabled or stopped all other processes on the system before running the tests?... Of course not, so it can aptly be concluded that THOSE tests also had the background tasks running, in BOTH single processor and dual processor systems.

So where is it that I haven't been factual??? The other background processes WERE discussed here.
