Hi Jim,

What do you mean by use Transactions? It is large table used for contact management. No real calculations, just client address information and a notes field. The main form has a grid and the data is accessed through a modal details window that flushes every time it is exited or moved to another record.

We are using VFP6, Our new Dell server is running Windows 2000 Server and the workstations are on Windows 2000 & XP, total of 4 stations. We are all completely accessing the program and files that are stored 100% on the server. Is this the best method or do we install on each desktop and only the data on the server?

What do you mean by buffering type?

Thanks you for all of your input.

Jeff

>Hello All,

>I have a currupt index problem that keeps poping up. Our master table has 350,000 records, 140 fields and about 50 indexes. About once a month when someone turns their computer off with proper exiting we get corrupt indexes and need to reindex. All of the days data is lost even though I issue a Flush command every time a record it exited. I don't have these problems with smaller 10,000 record tables?
