I've been impressed with SuSe Live Eval (let's you boot and run linux from a CD on any computer). I finally got it to work with my ADSL connect.

On the toolbard I click the configuration button (hammer and wrench crossed), then Install Software Package, then Internet, then Adminstration, then TKPPOE (ADSL config tool), then it asks for the root password, then choose your NIC, then it takes a few minutes, then blammo it works. I am using SuSE with Konqueror to post this message now.

One question, why is this option buried so deep?
