I see there is no reply yet so .... Could this be a codepage issue setting between the different PC's? Also, have you tried using a binary memo field instead. This type of field contains data you want to maintain without change across code pages.

Update: I saw your other related posting - could this be a difference in the setup of MS Office rather than the OS? The general field is using OLE and perhaps there is some difference in the way MS Office/Word was setup on the different PC's?
