I am having problem with my Star thermal printer.

I am using a Star TSP452 printer and using the OPOS driver from the
company for my kiosk application. It is using parallel port.
The example given is not giving any status on the paper out
or near end of paper sensors. There is no dip switch on the
printer.

The example given by the Star company is also not giving any
feedback status on the printer status when I remove the
thermal paper roll.

I am at a loss how to solve this issue. Hope that with your
expertise and knowledge, you can give me some pointer on
how to solve this issue.
