Your VFP 7 EXE and supporting EXE's are in a networkfolder, and the users have a shortcut and share those exes and dlls?

My installations typically install each desktop with the EXE and DLLs. The setup is located on the server, and the desktops install their runtimes from that setup. The only server side files are tables and COMs.

Does Microsoft offer network users to install [and access] a single copy of Word from a network folder?

What does the error log say? You might try changing the EXE and DLL to read only ATTRIB. There could be version conflicts, remote vs local conflicts with the DLLs. Make sure user specific scratch files are parked on a local drive. How does it perform when the EXE and DLL are [only] installed at the desktop?

>I have users running applications on our network from a VFP executable. In the directory where the .exe is stored, there are also the following files: msvcr70.dll, vfp7r.dll and vfp7renu.dll The application that the users are running has an error handler. Every once in a while, an application will bomb on a user and create a vfp7Rerr.log file instead of running my error handler. This happened today and when it happened it locked up several PC's on the network running VFP apps. I am trying to figure out if this is a software issue, or a network issue. If anyone has any theories, or explanations as to why this might be happening, I would love to hear it. Thanks!
