Hi,
you might want to take a look for WinIO at
www.internal.com (C++ source included) I have no idea how it is working for printer since currently I don't have one. But it works when I tested to reset my keyboard. I also have my own program (not finish yet) to check printer status. If you want to test it I'll send it to you.
