I am deeply saddened to learn the Ed is no longer with us. He was an incredibly knowledgable person and was always willing to share what he knew with the rest of us. Although I mostly knew Ed from his contributions here on the UT, I am grateful that I had the opportunity to also get to know him in person at various conferences over the last couple of years. In fact I was sitting next to Ed at the closing session at WhilFest last month, chatting with him about this and that and wondering aloud at how the magician did some of those tricks up on stage. Ed was certainly a magician himself when it came to VFP. It's hard to accept that he's gone. We have indeed lost a valuable member of our community. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.
>Ed Rauh, passed away sometime Saturday morning. His body was found by a friend and co-worker. Ed had suffered for a very long time with major illnesses but still kept himself active and involved in the VFP world. He was a person who would go the end of the earth for you, but would also let you know in a heart beat if you were off the mark. Ed will be dearly missed.
