I was going over the messages in this thread, and it dawned on me that while we won't see Ed again, a part of him still remains here, with us, a few mouse-clicks away...

Ed used to post a lot and answer a lot of questions... I just checked his stats and counted 14,072 messages. To us, this is a big part of himself, of his knowledge, and that, along with the papers that he wrote, is the legacy that he left behind.

All those answers and contributions will still answer questions as we stumble upon problems and rely on searches to find answers.
