Hi Mark,

Thank for your advise.
Just like to check with you on the following issue below

01) does OPOS work with parallel and serial printer, any special setting
for parallel printer as my present one is using parallel port

02) I also can't get the StatusUpdateEvent to work to detect the
paper out issue.

03) The Star website OPOS example does not work on my printer,
The Star printer driver example detect my printer is a receipt printer, and removing the paper does not trigger the sensor to update the
status.

Their check status command is to send Chr(5) to LPT port,
but didn't give any example how to get the status from parallel port.
Their VB OPOS example does not work for me too when I test it on my printer.

Do you had any ideal/advise on how to go about this issue. Thank a lot

>My OPOS demo code is specifically for the Epson receipt printer. What I have available for the printer are an Empty sensor and NearEnd sensor properties which are both true. This indicates that the printer is capable of providing feedback if the paper is near the end or out. This is supposed to be determined by a StatusUpdateEvent event which I have not been able to actually work to provide this type of feedback.
