I had the impression that electronic signatures were somewhat more invloved than that.
For instance, there must be some way to assure that the document that was "signed" remains the exact some document thereafter - that it cannot be edited/altered in any way. Also, I believe that there has to be some mechanism that prevents simple acts like copy/paste the "signature". In other words, it is my understanding that there needs to be a whole lot of integration with existing OSes and document creation/editing tools in order for electronic signing to become a reality. Alternately, I suppose, there may be some application, possibly along the lines of Adobe's PDF facilities, that exists today and can be used to exchange specific documents amongst (that application's) owners/licensees.
I bet EdR would have had lots of FACTS to communicate relating to this.
