Hi, Bonnie...
As it turns out, I learned you can drop a Winform control on an ASP.NET page by using the "[object]" tag. Similar to the way one would load an ActiveX control.
However, there are enough issues and enough things that you still wind up losing [or must re-code for] that it was immediately realized to be less than ideal. It seems like a great idea for single-purpose web pages, but not enough for a full-blown app with a rich UI. So yup, we're stickin' to our guns! ;)
Cathi Gero sent me an MSDN site that talked about 'Smart UI' deployments and updates. It had a link to a component that was written by a Microsoft .NET program manager. Apparently, you can drop it on a form, and have it automatically search a URL for updates to that form/DLL/etc., and do an auto-update. So that's my assignment during Christmas!
Merry Christmas...
Kevin
