>>To my surprise help for readkey() says it's for backward compatibility use .. instead !!! It's just one another function though doesn't have a true replacement commented out like this. ReadKey() would return 5 (dnarrow, tab) and 15 (enter or filled).
Are you saying that when the amount field hits maxlength (as in - 52.33) the readkey() value would be 15? I have not found any info that says that, thanks.
>>Now let me understand what you want to do. Sum and count would be done no matter how the cell was left ? YES-No matter how the cell was left next row's first cell would get the focus (new record if at last row) ? Or would it advance to next row only in case dnarrow, enter ?
The user wants the cursor to advance to a new record automatically after enter an amount in the last field. The user enters a lot of data, so they use the tab or enter key almost always. The only?? time they use the mouse is when they click the process button to validate what they have entered. What started all this, is trying to get around the default behavior of entering a numeric value that has 2 decimal points. I don't want the cursor to advance to the next cell or textbox, I want it to add a new record. I hope that is clearer. Sorry for the confusion.
