Have you seen the VB sample code? Are they using WithEvents? It kind of sounds that way since they are talking about "exposing events." If this is the case, take a look at the VFP7 EventHandler() function (or, in VFP6, VFPCom's BindEvents).

If they don't have much VFP expertise in-house, don't expect them to find the solution on their own very easily. You may be better off investigating this yourself. Or sending them my website URL... ;)

On the other hand, since I haven't seen the VB sample code it's hard to tell if this is what is going on... they might be using the term "Events" loosely, in which case it could be some other issue.

Hope this helps.

>"Yes you are right. The data event handler is not exposed in the Fox Pro development environment and we are currently in the process of investigating this further. Unfortunately, we are not expert in Visual Fox Pro and hence we do not have an estimated time frame as to when will be able to determine the cause of this behavior. Please note that this behavior is not observed in Visual Basic and hence if you are considering to moving to Visual Basic then please let us know and we will be glad to point to many VB examples that cover all the major type of requests.
