I have just moved the data for an app to the network. Anything requiring data access is dog slow (10 times slower [or more] that the same reports when the data in on the hard drive). I suspect that the network segment holding my server is the problem (the IT folks have indicated that my guess is correct).
It would be helpful if I could get a look at how many packets per second I am getting back from the network. I know that a hardware sniffer would show this. Is there some sort of software I could install to show me the number of packets per second?
Some of my client machines are Win 98, some are Win XP. I am running VFP 6 SP5.
