Hi Alejandro,

Although JavaScript is mostly used to manipulate web pages client-side, Java can run on the client or server and so can JavaScript. JavaScript is pretty easy to learn (at least to the level that I know it). I would guess the number of commands in JavaScript to number about 25% of what you've had to learn for VFP. And it's fun to manipulate the document object model of a web page!

If you really want to get into it, I would suggest you first find pages that do what you want them to do, then right click on the particular page to see what JavaScript code was used to create the effect, then grab that code and use it yourself. Once you get some success you'll be hooked!
