I have also been struggling to figure out the details of implementing my first n-tier application. I have done lots of searches here on the UT and read lots of threads, studied documentation from Mere Mortals and Codemine, etc. etc.

Then a few days ago I bought the Effective Techniques Book (Jim Booth and Stephen Sawyer). I wish I had found/bought this book a long time ago! It is extremely well written, and provides the best explanation that I've found, by far, of n-tier, both conceptually, and the specifics of implementing it in VFP. I'd say its a must read!
