Sorry if I miss lead you. The problem is under XP and ME windows uses WIA to access images and under 95,98, and 2000 windows uses Kodak dll's to access images. So what should I do create two versions of my software to access the images. One program would use WIA and the other would use Kodak. To make matter worse XP can support ISIS protocol to access scanners and of course it still supports twain (which was the standard for 95,98,ME,and 2000).
So you see it's trouble for us poor programmers. What eztwain does for me is allow one solution (as long as the twain drivers are present) for 98,ME,2000, and XP.
What has been suggested - is to purchase a third party product that would support all versions of windows (should include ISIS support). But I have not found any. ImageMan and leadtools supports Twain only. So I have not found any third parties that support all of the situations.
