Who are you working with at the Bllomber? The fact that Bloomberg is working on a VFP compliant control is good! We need to lobby Bloomberg (fox team lurkers, please note). This is good news!

A company in Houston built a [browser] Stock Ticker using VFP components. They didn't use Bloomber Data - but it was cool!

Does the control only work with full "Bloomberg" installs, or will it allow mom and pop to buy Bloomberg data on-line?

I'll lobby and offer testing if you think it appropriate. Leave a contact address and name if you have one available!

>>Do they still offer the "Open Bloomberg" service? It was like a transactional version of file link. The users had to have "The Bloomberg" console service to use it.

>Yes "Open Bloomberg" allows restricted access to their data services on a PC on a Lan rather than on a dumb Bloomberg terminal.

>The problem with their activeX data control is supposedly fixed and in testing for release in Feb. I'll re-attack the problem then. Seems that the asynchronous "Data Event" was not exposed for Fox to take advantage of.
