The document I originally looked at showed that I had to explicitly declare each control. I have the controls being created dynamically but I want to expose events. I understand you have to declare Dim WithEvents someobject as VBControlExtender but I am getting a type mismatch error.

I found an article that says

"When you use the VBExtenderControl approach the control in question cannot be present in the toolbox. As a result you need to add the license 'manually' at runtime, or you'll get an error."

Am I understanding correctly that if the control exists in the toolbox that I cannot use VBControlExtender and expose the events? This is an app with lots of forms and I only need to dynamically control one.

Sorry if this is a really stupid question, I just want to make sure that I'm understanding it and find out if there is another way to do this.

Thanks

Nichole
