A couple of thoughts:

You can simply leave off the version number and Windows will the default version of MSAPI on each client.

You may run into problems with a security feature of Outlook 2002 when sending mail from an anonymous client. Check this article http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnaskdr/html/askgui04022002.asp
