Jim / all,

Wow -- I've been away for the holidays and just saw this. At first glance I thought it was someone playing an odd joke (as Ed himself might have done with his sometimes bizarre sense of humor). I'm very surprised and saddened to learn that he is no longer with us.

My lasting memory of Ed will be of the times he went out of his way to explain to me, in terms that I could understand, many of the intricacies that we all face in development. I always made it a point to read all his postings here on the UT -- he never failed to add valuable insights to the topic under discussion.

Please pass along my sincere condolences to Ed's family on his loss.

Rest in peace, Ed...your pain is finally gone.

>Ed Rauh, passed away sometime Saturday morning. His body was found by a friend and co-worker. Ed had suffered for a very long time with major illnesses but still kept himself active and involved in the VFP world. He was a person who would go the end of the earth for you, but would also let you know in a heart beat if you were off the mark. Ed will be dearly missed.
