Deepak,
I think it's a bad idea to use ASCII data source. If you still want to do it I'd rather open the text as a document, converttotable and save as a datasource. It's a known annoying problem with word when text file has only a single or more than 63 columns prompts for record and field delimiters (or when it can't recognize the format - if your problem is this one be sure your text file is a comma or tab delimited file and records are separated with CRLF).
