I failed to solve this one, 14 years ago, and actually slapped my forehead hard when I saw the solution. It requires some drawing, so I'll try to fake it using characters in positions of squares.

the above is a square piece of land that needs to be split between four brothers, except the part which remains to their mother (marked with zeros). Their shares need not only be of equal sizes, but also need to be geometrically identical. Draw the borders.
