First of all let me wish a Very happy and prosperous new year to everybody.

I am designing an application in which, I am keeping my database on the Novell server. I want to install the application on the workstation and then access the database from the Novell server. Here I have a problem of data security.
If I create a database in MS Access, nobody can open the tables without the proper access rights. Can I do something similar in VFP? Again, if I create a database in VFP and create some tables in it, anybody can access these tables in Excel and corrupt the data. Can I hide the tables in the database so that nobody can even see them in the explorer (like Access)?

Best Regards,
Yashodhan
