Good luck, Willianto.

Try to figure out how to get a critical mass for your core. Our group has such a center that is made up of programmers who have become friends because of their interest in their craft. From there you need to get the kinds of activities that can attract a wider group of people who are interested in some of your programs and services though not necessarily interested in others. The core and the rings feed off of each other. The core provides stability. The rings helps with dues money and a mix of interest and experience that can also give the group even wider attraction. When you think of the dynamics this way, you can see that every member is important.

I'd try to be more specific about our progress, but I know that your realities are probably very, very different.

We do a geo/time analysis also to figure out how to cater to the core and the periphery. The geographic consideration is the place -- we meet in the center of the metro area. We meet at a time when we can catch members leaving work in the downtown.

Mixtures of subject matter for both types of members is something to be thought about a lot also.

Got to go.

Bill
