I am using DNS less connections by "USE"ing a dbc view with a connection string. When accessing sqlserver across a WAN, I get a timeout in 15 seconds (which is the default). I have been unable to find a way to make the odbc driver wait longer for a response. I tried adding "connectiontimeout = 120" to the connection string, but it gets passed on to sqlserver which rejects it.
Does anyone know any way to set the connection timeout when using a connection string?
I know that I can set the connection timeout in the dbc connection. However, I can't use the connection in the dbc because the connection is dynamic and changes from server to server and database to database.
Any help would be appreciated.
