Hi Fabian,

It's been a little while since we last spoke about this but I've been out of town for the last month...

I just received and installed Crystal 9. I'm in the process of testing whether it generates ANSI 92 syntax, but they completely changed the gui interface for creating an OLEDB connection. In v9, I get a Database Expert dialog which allows me to choose which provider I'm using. After selecting Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Visual FoxPro, I get a Connection Information page that asks for 3 things.

1. Data Source
2. User ID
3. Password

In the datasource textbox I enter the fully qualified path to my .dbc (ie. c:\server\my.dbc). After clicking Next, I see and Advanced Information window with which I do nothing, and finally I click Finish. Crystal then crashes and returns me to the Windows desktop.

I need your help...

1. What are you putting in the Data Source field?
2. What version of vfpoledb.dll are you using and where did you get it?
3. What version of Crystal's crdb_ado.dll are you using?

Thanks,
Jeff
