The message, and the context you mentioned, is very clear. This message indicates that there is some problem loading the run-time libraries, that is, the DLLs mentioned previously, required to run the EXE if you don't use the main VFP program.
If you copied the DLLs (VFP*.DLL) to the same folder than the EXE, and it still doesn't work, I would strongly suspect a version mismatch. Your best bet is to try to recompile the EXE, and use the Setup Wizard to make the installation disks (or, alternately, copy required files to the same folder as the EXE).
If you don't have the source code, and can't recompile, that increases the likelyhood of having the wrong version. Try to find out what DLLs the EXE tries to access. Perhaps some utility at
www.download.com or similar can help you get this information.
I don't know about other situations that can produce the same error message. Oh, well, perhaps the DLLs are corrupted.
