Kev;

This is all about you! There is a conspiracy on the UT to avoid you whenever possible. No, just kidding! Hope you do not mind that comment. :)

I think I know what you mean and there are perhaps several reasons for your observation.

1. Yes, questions do become more complex as does the technology.
2. People may not have too much time to devote to the UT or check back with how a suggestion worked.
3. Some people that answered questions are no longer around.

Some people ask questions that are not well stated, as well as neglect to mention relevant details (OS, software version, etc.). I get the biggest kick out of people that answer his/her own questions, which I think is great! Sometimes it helps to talk to someone about your software/hardware problem and while doing so you answer your own question or solve your problem. If you have no one to talk to then you come to the UT and pose your problem.

We do have Sergey who almost always comes to someone’s rescue with the right answer or points you to it. Some things fall into cracks and that is what may happen to some people’s questions. I know about 2-3 years ago I was asking questions about ASP and no one answered many of my questions. I did not give up though and just enjoyed the suffering required to work with technology. At least I am paid to suffer or is that work?

Anyway, enjoy the New Year.

Tom
