Using VFP7, after I finish running a .PRG and make a change to it then go to re-compile the .prg, I'll get an error cannot create myprg.fxp. (I didn't get the exact error message). This happens only once in a while

VFP thinks that this .FXP is still in use but the program is not running. In the command window, I CLEAR ALL, CLEAR PROGRAM, CLEAR MEMORY, RELEASE ALL, etc... but my VFP session keeps a file lock on that .FXP.

These files are on a network drive, but no one else is using this file. My only solution is to quit VFP and restart it. Then I can re-compile myprg.prg.

Is there a command I can use to release this file? What causes this?

Thanks,

Jerry
