It's especially important if you have any referential integrity code or persistant relationships, because the old technique of DELETE TAG ALL and recreating the INDEXes will really cause trouble by deleting a number of critical records in your .DBC. While I developed techniques (based on the GENDBC.PRG) to do this in some applications, I wouldn't consider creating any critical apps any more without SDT.

I have SDT and use it quite often, I just haven't used it enough to know what it can do. I like the way you can add fields without having to redo your views. It sounds like if I looked into the GENDBC.PRG I could fashoin something like I described. What do you think?
