I downloaded an evaluation of COM Explorer 2.0 and dug into the information on "C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\ole db\vfpoledb.dll". It looks like the ProgID is "VFPOLEDB.1", but the creation date is "08/21/02 12:40:40" and the file version is "8.0.00.2021".

So it looks like my side-by-side install of VFP8-Beta actually did overwrite my VFP7 stuff; I was hoping that I would be able to do some version-independent testing but now I have to go find a machine that only has v7....

Help!
