>There were some very talented developers, who are no longer active in UniversalThread. Paul Vlad Tatavu, Barbara Paltiel, Barbara Peisch, Edward Pikman (?), few others. Also you know about the greatest lost we had at December 21th. That's a void, which could not be filled in years...
Don't forget that there is always a renewal process. Some go, some arrive.
Some people only see those who are away for a while or left for any kind of reason (retirement, change of job, etc.) But, we have to keep in mind that there are new people as well. For example, Sergey joined UT a while ago. But, before that, some left as well. It's just the way things are. This is one aspect of a community. It doesn't rely on specific individuals only. Anyone can participate and decide to get activally involved pretty fast if he/she wishes and/or if he/she has some great knownledge to share.
I also was away for a while when I had to work on a big project. Then, I came in when I had more time. Jim, for example, told me about a new job that he likes a lot and takes a lot of his time. So, in such circumstances, so as any of us are facing occasionaly, we have to put the breaks on some regular activities that we are doing.
