It's a while since I worked on it but as far as I know, Line 50 has (as you point out) a read-only ODBC driver. Line 100 has SDO (Sage Data Objects) which allow read/write access. However you need to join the developers' program for this (not cheap). As far as I remember, they're actively working on replacing SDO with ADO and have stopped further development on SDO.
