>Troublemaker(g). I just tested the program on Win2000 and it did not work. I started using this several years ago and have not changed anything from Win95. I am pretty sure it worked on NT but I have never had a problem reported for Win2000 and I have about 50 users. Maybe just luck. Its been so long ago I don't remember where I found the 4 to use to terminate the process but it is probably somthing to do with the

SendMessage(lnhwnd,16,0,0) did eliminate the suspended application.
The desktop is not refreshed and so repeated attempts to Kill are futile.

I will use this Kill only as a last resort. Program active for > 1 hr.

BTW - the original problem was identified as An attempt to delete a non-existant file handed off to an on-error routine that did not as of yet have the defined variables used in the error routine, resulting in a call again to the error routine - infinite suspension, and not, I believe,tracable in the debugger.
