Thanks for your reply, I will try out with a normal form not based on any classes. But I have noticed that on forms derived from classes, if the numeric field gets selected then the problem is not there, ie a foward then backward with the arrow key. But I am not able set focus on the numeric field thru program control / or at least I do not know how to.
