A colleague of mine used to use the parallel port to control all kindsa gadgets for educational purposes and programmed it in Turbo Pascal.

He wants to keep the parallel port and not use USB e.g. cuz the HW is way cheaper. I suggested he change to VB for programming thou, but he only found a single OCX to control the parallel port and he wasn´t sure if this was supposed to actually work.

With this being quite embarassing for me, please tell me that there are two dozen free solutions out there - or at least one that works (elegantly)!
