Another option is one where you have a page frame with no tabs. I use this all the time. I place the user on page 1, when they have entered in what is needed. Then that page will activate the page frame that I wish them to go to. The user does not see the fact that they are on a pageframe with 18 pages.

I usually have radio buttons that I enable or disable allowing the user to move around the pages of the pageframe.
